Meghan Markle, Prince Harry have to prove their worth in Hollywood?

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry still need to work hard to prove to the people in Hollywood that they are worth the investment.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been living in California since they stepped down from their royal duties last year. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have already signed a multi-million deal with Netflix and Spotify, but they still need to work, according to a royal correspondent.

Meghan Markle and Harry allegedly still have to prove themselves

Daniela Elser, royal correspondent for News.com.au, shared her thoughts about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle after Megxit. According to her, the pressure is on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to deliver what was expected from them.

When the royal couple landed in Los Angeles last year, they were highly bankable. In fact, their brand was on the ascendant. Unfortunately, their arrival in America also collided with the advent of the coronavirus pandemic. They might be ready for business, the world was not.

The country is slowly returning to normal. However, Prince Harry and Markle’s Tinseltown’s midst is no longer quite the same.

“If Harry and Meghan don’t want to be written off as a marketing gimmick if they want, in the years to come, to keep pulling in those nice big cheques full of delicious zeros, then they are going to prove they are worth the investment,” Elser wrote.

“So far, they haven’t exactly set Hollywood on fire.”

Invictus series is not what the audience wants

Chief media analyst Andrew Wallenstein also commented on the couple’s Invictus series. However, for him, it was not what the tabloid-driven audience wants to seem.

The people want Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to make themselves available for interviews and publicize their content. He also noted that Netflix has been throwing money around and should the streaming giant ned to tighten their belts, Prince Harry and Markle’s show will be among those on the list of what gets second-guessed.

According to Elser, Sussexes ability to make money is tied to their ability to generate good PR. If the interest in them wanes or the public gets tired of them because they are never out of the news, their value could plummet.

Meghan’s next project

The Duchess of Sussex is set to produce an animated series entitled Pearl on Netflix. The show follows a 12-year-old girl who is inspired by influential women in history.

The streaming giant has not revealed the air date of the show yet. Meanwhile, Dora the Explorer did not make an official comment when asked about the potential rivalry between the two shows.
