Meghan Markle and Prince Harry already said that they were not involved in their biography Finding Freedom. However, Twitter users accused them of lying after finding evidence following the book’s release.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s anticipated biography Finding Freedom is already out. Royal correspondents Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand penned the book, and it is trending on Twitter. However, some felt that the royals and the authors lied after reading the Authors’ Note.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry involved in the book
The book Finding Freedom is very detailed. Many could not believe that it was written without Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s involvement. Twitter users found evidence that the couple was somehow part of the making of the book when they read the Authors’ Note.
“We have spoken with close friends of Harry and Meghan, royal aides and palace staff (past and present), the charities and organizations they have built long-lasting relationships with and when appropriate, the couple themselves,” the message read as shown in this photo.
“Well, well, well, Omid you little minx! You hide the best tidbit in the author’s notes. Glad someone took the time to read the fine print!” one commented after seeing the post.
“Dan I don’t know how to get this info to you but read the editors notes in Finding Freedom. The author says he talks with them!!! The last sentence. They are all huge liars!” another user trying to get the attention of The Sun’s editor Dan Wootton wrote.
“Well not bit surprised, the book has Meghan’s tone through and through,” another Twitter user added.

Author says Meghan and Harry are not involved
Before the release of Scobie and Durand’s book about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, they said the royals were not involved. In a past interview, Scobie stressed that they never interviewed the royals for the book.
“It’s important to note that this is an unauthorised biography. It was never a dream of mine to put out some cooperative one-sided version of events, that’s when you enter autobiographical territory. This distance allowed us the freedom to have candid and uncensored conversations with those who perhaps felt like the couple had made wrong decisions at times, and allowed us to bring their stories to life too,” he said as quoted by Independent.
“As for the rumours that Harry and Meghan were involved in the writing of the book/contributed to it, they are untrue. But it’s a compliment that people feel the reporting gives that much of an insight into their lives. We made a real effort to be detailed,” he added.
Sussexes’ statement before the release of the book
It’s important to note that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also released a statement denying any involvement in the book.
“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were not interviewed and did not contribute to Finding Freedom. This book is based on the authors’ own experiences as members of the royal press corps and their own independent reporting,” the Sussexes rep said in a statement.
