Meghan Markle and Prince Harry

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have reportedly agreed to do do a reality show where the cameras will follow them for three months. Their life in Montecito, California would be documented and shown to the public via Netflix.

As per the report, the docuseries that will feature Meghan Markle and Prince Harry is part of the $150 million deal they signed. The main focus of the documentary will be the couple’s charity works rather than what they do behind closed doors.

The concept of the Sussexes’ reality show

Then again, the publication stated that it is not sure if the Sussexes will also allow filming inside their home.

“They may have had all these lofty ideas about producing epics highlighting environmental causes and the poverty gap,” the source, allegedly, told The Sun. “But Netflix obviously wants their pound of flesh.”

The tipster added, “It will all be very tasteful and not Katie Price and Peter Andre-style reality TV, but they want to give people a glimpse into their lives and see all the charity work they do.”

Meghan Markle, allegedly, wants to show the world her real self, so she’s hoping she can do this through the show.

The public’s response and the couple’s denial

After the news of Prince Harry and Meghan’s reality show came out, many people slammed them. They pointed out that the pair left the Royal Family and demanded privacy, yet they agreed to be followed by cameras.

Ingrid Seward, the editor of Majesty magazine, said that allowing a program to film their daily life is something they should not do. She also described Meghan Markle and Prince Harry “hypocritical” for the move.

After the backlash, it was reported that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have denied they are doing a reality show.

“The Duke and Duchess are not taking part in any reality shows,” the representative of the couple told TODAY.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s plans for TV and films

While they said they have no plans to be on reality shows, the pair are sure to appear on TV and films because they have a deal with Netflix.

In fact, it was said that the duke and duchess already have ideas for their future projects. Some of the things that they may produce include scripted series, documentaries, and even a children’s program.

Meanwhile, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry recently caused an uproar in the U.K. after they participated in ABC’s special broadcast. Well-known personalities listed in TIME’s 100 most influential people have implored the Americans to vote, and Sussexes were one of them.

The issue here is that Prince Harry broke the royal protocol of not involving themselves in elections. This is more revolting for the Royals because the prince is a British citizen.
