Meghan Markle and Prince Harry in Lake Como
Several outlets already reported about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s visit to George Clooney and Amal Clooney’s home in Italy. However, more details about the visit are revealed in Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand’s biography about the royal couple.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited the Clooneys for three days, according to Finding Freedom. The two ladies bonded together while their husbands checked George’s motorbike collection.
“Meghan and Amal spent a lot of time relaxing by the pool and playing with the twins while George and Harry checked out George’s motorbike collection,” the authors wrote per The Sun.
“Harry took one of them out with one of his protection officers. George recently had an accident, so he wasn’t back on his bike yet.”

The Clooneys had other royal guests
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were not the only royals invited to George and Amal Clooney’s home. Prince Harry’s cousin, Princess Eugenie, and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, were also there.
“The Duke and Duchess weren’t the only guests that weekend,” the book added.
“Eugenie and her fiance, Jack Brooksbank, were already at the villa when Harry and Meghan arrived, their visits overlapping briefly.”
George spoke about Meghan and Harry
The Money Monster star and the human rights lawyer were among the celebrities who attended Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding. They were also among the 200 guests who partied with the royals at their wedding reception at Frogmore House.
There were even reports claiming that George danced with the bride, Markle, at the party. In one interview, George spoke about his connection with the Sussexes.
“We live not too far from one another and we have dinners and stuff and we’re friends with them for all the reasons that you’re friends with anybody,” George explained to Daily Mail.
“They’re just really nice, fun, kind people, they’re a very loving couple, and they’re going to be great parents.”
Clooney also defended Markle from her critics when she was bashed while still expecting Archie.
“She’s a woman who is seven months pregnant and she is being pursued and vilified and chased in the same way that Diana was, and it’s history repeating itself,” George said, hoping that the press would stop criticizing Markle.
However, his statement received mixed reactions from the netizens. While many agreed that the criticisms were too much, several disagreed with the comparison.
“No offence, but ain’t no one ever going to be on Princess Diana level,” one commented.
