Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have decided to settle down in Los Angeles. However, things might not work according to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s expectations.
Meghan Markle will reportedly return to Hollywood once she’s back in the U.S. California-based brand expert Eric Schiffer has the same opinion.
According to Schiffer, the former Suits star will attempt to return to acting. However, he warned the duchess that it would only cause more public backlash, and job offers would dry up.
He added that Markle’s fate in Hollywood could be similar to how her
“Hollywood, in the end, will dump Meghan and chew her out the way she and Buckingham Palace ditched each other,” Schiffer told Express.
Meghan Markle is not close to her family on her father’s side. In fact, only her mom, Doria Ragland, was present when she married Prince Harry.
Her dad, Thomas Markle Sr., canceled his attendance days before the royal wedding. According to Markle Sr. he had heart surgery and was recovering. However, some sources claimed he was just making excuses to not meet the royals following his staged photo scandal.
Markle’s half-brother, Thomas Markle Jr., and half-sister, Samantha Markle, have also spoken against her multiple times in separate interviews. Markle Jr. even predicted her return to Hollywood.
However, Markle Jr. seemed not confident with the Duchess of Sussex. He added that Markle won’t make it big like Oprah and Amal Clooney.
“So why walk away from it? You have to be, your mind is on something else, you are going somewhere else. She is going back to Hollywood – she is going back to Hollywood,” Markle Jr. told Express.
“She just wants to be in the spotlight all the time and that is what she is going to go for,” he added.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced in January that they were stepping back as senior members of the royal family. In April, they became non-working royal officially.
The couple wanted to work to be “financially independent.” However, now that they are back in the U.S. they are still not totally independent, according to royal correspondent Daniela Elser of News.com.au.
“In a way, Harry and Meghan have exchanged being dependent on the British royal family to being dependent on Hollywood’s (and Wall Street and Silicon Valley’s) royal family,” Elser wrote.
