The Meizu 17 is almost within our reach. And as it would usually go for phones which are about to be announced, tons of details surrounding its key features specification are now a matter of public record.
The latest to emerge from the grapevine is the confirmation that the Meizu is mulling on releasing two flagship variants come next week – the Meizu 17 and Meizu 17 Pro.
Additionally, it is tipped that both the Meizu 17 and 17 Pro are slated to launch with a slew of high-profile display and camera features, thanks to a new batch of the lineup’s official teasers. At the helm of this list is the series’ sporting of a 90Hz display refresh rate, which is a first for Meizu’s line of smartphones.
Apart from the high refresh rate, the Meizu 17 series is also en route to feature a multitude of cameras on its rear, one that front-lined by a massive 64MP sensor.
Meanwhile, the Pro variant is revealed to be announced with Super wireless mCharge, right with support for 40W fast wired charging. Other crucial features that might debut with the Meizu 17 Pro, based on the device’s leaked images lately, are Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 chipset, LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, and OneMind 4.0 AI engine which is said to boost the performance of the phone through software optimizations.
The same images also confirmed that the Meizu 17 Pro would be arriving with a quad-camera system on its rear, a setup that is aligned horizontally. The system comprises a Sony IMX686 64MP sensor, a telephoto lens, an ultrawide sensor, and a macro camera. The cameras will reportedly come with support for AR filters and stickers. Also, support for Wi-Fi 6 and NFC is likely to launch with the device.
Both the latest developments of the Meizu 17 and 17 Pro only come after a few days when the vanilla “17” variant was officially confirmed to feature 4,500mAh battery and 30W fast wired charging.
Like the Pro variant, the standard Meizu 17 is also set to be powered by the Snapdragon 865 chipset. A UFS 3.1 internal storage is also confirmed for the phone.
