Apart from Qualcomm’s premier chipset offering, the upcoming flagship from Meizu is also slated to feature a UFS 3.1 storage.
As we inch closer to the purported May 8th launch of the Meizu 17, more leaks and speculations are now bound to grow, leading to its announcement. Like clockwork, Meizu has started revealing what appears to be the phone’s essential features, via its official poster, no less.
A slew of teaser images
According to the poster, which is now making rounds online, the Meizu 17 is confirmed to be launching with the Snapdragon 865 chipset. Alongside the top-tier Qualcomm SoC, the phone is also set to arrive with UFS 3.1 storage.
Around the same time, when the Meizu 17’s teaser poster surfaced, an image of the phone also emerged online. The leaked picture shows the handset in the white variant, which also happens to be surrounded by the same white bezels. Additionally, a display cutout, which is reserved for its front-facing camera, can also be seen.
Another image also appeared previously, which also showed the Meizu 17’s alleged front design. In it, the phone is seen sporting curves on its sides. But in this picture, the handset is toting around black bezels. The only feature that it shares with the aforementioned image is the cutout on display, which is placed on the top-right center.
While the Meizu 17’s front panel design seems to be commandeering the leaks at the moment, the same couldn’t be said with its back panel. Nevertheless, the phone is tipped to launch with an in-display fingerprint reader with a Super AMOLED display on top.
Rumored features and specifications
As Meizu’s first proper flagship iteration in 2020, the phone is naturally expected to come with some attention-grabbing features. Apart from the now-confirmed Qualcomm chipset, the device is also pegged to arrive with 8GB/12GB of RAM tiers and 128GB/256GB of internal storage options.
In terms of the Meizu 17’s camera features, the phone might arrive with a triple-camera setup on its rear. The system, which could be aligned horizontally at the upper half of the phone’s back panel, could be headlined by a 64MP wide camera. Other sensors could include a 20MP telephoto and 16MP ultra-wide lenses. A 32MP selfie snapper is likewise in the mix.
Other key features that could arrive with the Meizu 17 are 4,500mAh battery with 30W fast wired charging, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, and USB Type-C
