During a previous interview with Parenting, the FLOTUS said that she’s a full-time mom, and this is her first job.
“The most important job ever. I started my business when he started school,” she said.
While speaking with People, the first lady also said that she likes to be hands-on with her son.
“I think it’s very important. If you have too much help, you don’t get to know your children,” she said.
According to In Touch Weekly, Melania is so hands-on that she was even the one that took Barron to the dentist. She also spent her Saturdays while Barron growing up by recording him while he plays baseball in Central Park.
Trump family tests positive for COVID-19
Earlier this month, the Trump family made headlines after it was announced that they all tested positive for COVID-19. Melania said that after she was diagnosed with the deadly illness, her mind immediately went to Barron.
“Naturally, my mind went immediately to our son. But again, as so many parents have thought over the past several months, I couldn’t help but think, ‘What about tomorrow or the next day?’ My fear came true when he was tested again and it came back positive. Luckily he is a strong teenager and exhibited no symptoms. In one way I was glad the three of us went through this at the same time so we could take care of one another and spend time together,” she said.
This week, the FLOTUS made headlines after she tweeted a video of herself talking about Donald Trump and his administration’s efforts to support the gay community.
“I was shocked to discover that some of these powerful people have tried to paint my husband as anti-gay or against equality. Nothing could be further from the truth,” Melania Trump said.
