Melania Trump is always ready to defend her son, and the First Lady did that after John Henson made an “inappropriate” and “insensitive” tweet about her child, Barron.
Melania Trump did not let John Henson’s joke about Barron’s paternity on Father’s Day passed. The FLOTUS released a statement slamming the Food Network host.
Melania Trump fired back at John Henson
On Father’s Day, John Henson took to Twitter and attempted to attack President Donald Trump by using his son.
“I hope Barron gets to spend today with whoever his dad is,” he wrote.
For many, it was a joke implying that Barron’s dad is not Trump. Apparently, the FLOTUS took offense at the tweet.
So, Melania Trump released a statement through her spokeswoman, Stephanie Grisham. The First Lady reminded everyone and the rest that Barron should be off-limits.
“Sadly we continue to see inappropriate and insensitive comments about (President Donald Trump’s) son,” Grisham said in a statement issued to Daily Caller on Monday.
“As with every other administration, a minor child should be off-limits and allowed to grow up with no judgment or hate from strangers and the media.”
Henson already deleted the tweet. In another post, he said that it was a joke aiming at Trump and not at Barron’s expense.
With respect, I think you dissecting it is the issue. The joke was aimed at Trump and the mere mention of Barron’s name doesn’t mean it’s at his expense.
Although I respect your right to take issue with it.

Melania also slammed constitutional scholar for Barron
It wasn’t the first time Melania Trump called out someone for mentioning Barron’s name. Back in December, the First Lady also slammed Pamela Karlan, a professor of law at Standford Law School, for mentioning her son’s name during a hearing.
“A minor child deserves privacy and should be kept out of politics. Pamela Karlan, you should be ashamed of your very angry and obviously biased public pandering, and using a child to do it,” Melania wrote on Twitter.

Melania has always prioritized Barron
Melania Trump has made it clear that her son is her priority. In fact, she didn’t join President Donald Trump’s presidential campaign because Barron needed a parent. So, Melania decided to stay at home.
Also, she is a hands-on mom. In her previous interviews, Melania said she played and fed Barron.
Additionally, she confirmed that the POTUS didn’t change their son’s diaper. However, she also made it clear that it was not an issue for her.
Donald Trump as a dad
Donald Trump has three kids with his first wife, Ivana Trump, Ivanka, Donald Jr., and Eric. Just like Melania, Ivana said Trump is not that hands-on when it comes to their children.
Despite that, she stressed that Trump is a “loving” father and a “good provider.”
The POTUS also has one daughter with his second wife, Marla Maples, Tiffany.
All of Trump’s kids except for Barron paid him a tribute on social media on Father’s Day.
