Melania Trump donates lunches to children’s hospital
Melania Trump donated 150 boxed lunches to help feed the patients and staff of Children’s Inn at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland.
The FLOTUS’ spokesperson Stephanie Grisham said that Melania cares deeply about the people, especially those who have been affected by the COVID-19, so she will continue to reach out to those people in a variety of ways, The Hill reported.
Melania made sure that the food was safe, as well as the people involved in the delivery. Hence, they practiced social distancing. Also, to protect everyone at the medical facility, the food was sent securely with a contact-free delivery.
On #NationalNursesDay, I would like to take a moment to extend my sincere appreciation to our nation's nurses. You are an inspiration to us all and your actions show us the true power of the American spirit. pic.twitter.com/5WDVjpAnGy

Donald Trump’s wife made different contributions amid the pandemic
Melania has been doing a lot of work behind the scenes to support the people. Last week, she sent care packages to children and staff at hospitals in 10 states and Washington, D.C. She described the move as a “small token of my appreciation for their courage and leadership in this time.”
Melania Trump has also called the public to strictly follow the social distancing guidelines. Besides, she reminds the people to wear masks and wash their hands regularly with soap and water.
Aside from that, she attempted to boost the people’s morale through a flypast dedicated to healthcare and frontline workers.
Proud to see the #AmericaStrong salute to our healthcare & frontline workers with a spectacular flyover today in Washington, D.C. Thank you to the @AFThunderbirds and @BlueAngels for this beautiful display of solidarity. pic.twitter.com/W5uyfrtWOz

Melania Trump shares flypast post on Twitter
The first lady shared photos taken during a spectacular flyover for the frontliners. One snap featured her looking above while waving at the aircraft.
In her caption, Melania announced that she was proud to see America’s strong salute for the healthcare and frontline workers. She also thanked Thunderbirds and Blue Angels for the “beautiful display of solidarity.”
However, some mocked the FLOTUS. According to several netizens, it was just a waste of money because the health workers were working and did not see it. So, they should have used the budget for the frontliners’ essentials.
A different user opined that if the aircraft were dropping test kits and PPE, it would have been a real salute.
Meanwhile, a few netizens defended Melania. According to TXMJay, it was never a waste of money to encourage others. It was “priceless.”
“Boosting morale for the whole nation is pretty important in a time like this,” another added.
However, many also said that it wasn’t effective. One user did not find it helpful because it encouraged the people to gather in crowds and would only make healthcare workers’ lives more difficult if more would contract the virus.
