Netizens were quick to react after Melania Trump thanked all students who participated in the 19th amendment project on Twitter.
Melania Trump is, undeniably, among the most talked-about women in the world today. Aside from being the wife of President Donald Trump, the First Lady of the United States is also known for her humanitarian projects and campaigns. However, along with the popularity, Melania has, also, become one of the most criticized public figures.
Donald’s wife thrilled about the upcoming exhibit celebrating 100 Years of women’s suffrage
The FLOTUS, in June, announced the upcoming “Building the Movement: America’s Youth Celebrate 100 Years of Women’s Suffrage” event, which will honor the centennial anniversary of the 19th amendment that allowed American women to vote.
Melania Trump encouraged Grade 3 to Grade 12 students across the United States to submit artworks depicting one of the greatest milestones in American history. The White House will choose one artwork to be featured in the exhibit from each of the 50 states. It was, also, announced that there will be entries coming from the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, the Northern Mariana Islands, America Samoa, the District of Colombia, and Guam.
The mother of Barron Trump, in a statement, said:
“As we celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the 19th Amendment, it’s important to include our children in the conversation so they can learn and understand the history behind the women’s suffrage movement.”
She added:
“For decades, women leaders lobbied, marched, and protested for equality and their right to vote in the United States. It is my hope that this project will both support and expand the important conversations taking place on equality and the impact of peaceful protests, while encouraging children to engage in the history behind this consequential movement in their own home state.”
FLOTUS criticized after thanking participants online
On Sunday (July 19), Melania Trump took to Twitter to send her felicitations to all students who submitted their entries. She even revealed that the selection process is “very hard” for her part.
Along with some snaps, the FLOTUS wrote:
“Thank you to all of the children who participated in our 19th Amendment project. Selecting the beautiful art that will be displayed at our event at the @WhiteHouse now – very hard to choose! #BeBest #BuildingTheMovementExhibit.”
Critics of the First Lady were quick to lambast her. Some netizens even posted harsh remarks and accusations to Donald Trump‘s better half.
“You are the last person who should be held as an example for our children,” one comment read. “Melanie, We are still waiting to see your immigration documents proving you did not work illegally in the United States before obtaining your ”Einstein Visa.” Your sponsor told us that this information would be made available along with his tax returns,” Gailen David stated.

“How about the children in cages? Children held for months and months without their parents? The Trumps don’t care about children!!!” Deborah Swanson penned in the comment section. “Obviously @FLOTUS PR staff tweets for her and she never sees the responses. The irony is startling that she tweets about children when her husband trump is the perpetrator of such cruel and dangerous treatment of migrant children. Show Melania these replies,” Barbara Tepper added.

There are some netizens who even asked Melania Trump to apologize for her poor English grammar. “Could you please change & apologize for “Be Best”? It’s made us & you a laughingstock. It’s the broken English of someone who hasn’t bothered to learn to speak it after 25 years & it’s embarrassing,” Anastasia Pantsios said. “She’ll never learn, because she comes from a Slavic country, and they don’t use articles over there. Plus she’s an idiot of course!” another Twitter user wrote.
All these events you are doing now, too little too late.. they won’t help get him a second term.
And it won’t get him to want to date you. pic.twitter.com/y38IQXqNoY— Jo Ann Grant (@Grantjh1955) July 19, 2020

Barron’s mom continues to do good amid the pandemic
Meanwhile, the former model surprised everyone when she delivered lunch boxes and personal care items to the Engine Company fire station recently. Per EconoTimes, the FLOTUS, also, visited the nearby DC Metropolitan Police Department Third District.
Melania Trump thanked everyone she met after the visit. She even praised them for their time and efforts amid the threats posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. “I appreciated today’s opportunity to give my thanks to some of D.C.’s bravest and finest. The President and I will continue to support our dedicated firefighters, police members, EMS personnel, and other critical first responders who put their lives at risk each day in order to keep our neighborhoods safe,” she said.
