Melania Trump released a statement through her speaker about the secretly recorded tape from Stephanie Winston Wolkoff.
Melania Trump seemed to be complaining in a video that Stephanie Winston Wolkoff secretly recorded. The video exclusively aired on CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360 on Thursday. Trump’s speaker Stephanie Grisham addressed the issue and criticized Wolkoff’s move.
Melania Trump on the secretly recorded tape
The First Lady did not face the camera after the controversial video aired on TV. But she lets her chief of staff and spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham address the issue.
“Secretly taping the First Lady and willfully breaking an NDA to publish a salacious book is a clear attempt at relevance. The timing of this continues to be suspect – as does this never-ending exercise in self-pity and narcissism,” Grisham said in a statement to CNN.
What Melania said on the tape
In the tape, the First Lady can be heard talking about her frustrations on how she’s being criticized for her husband, President Donald Trump’s policy of separating families who illegally crossed the south border.
“They say I’m complicit. I’m the same like him, I support him. I don’t say enough I don’t do enough where I am,” Melania said.
The FLOTUS went on and said she was working hard. She also said no one cared about the Christmas stuff, but she had to do it, implying that it was part of her roles as the First Lady.
The FLOTUS also talked about the immigrant children and how they were taken care of while they were away from their parents.
Melania said those kids could stay in Mexico, but they wanted to be in the U.S. because “Mexico doesn’t take care of them the same as America does.”

For Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, Melania Trump cared for the kids because she is a mom. However, her husband is not supportive of what she wants, so she makes her choices depending on what the administration decides.
“I think that as a mother, those maternal instincts in her were set off, and she did care,” Wolkoff said about the FLOTUS.
FLOTUS in transactional marriage
Stephanie Winston Wolkoff also wrote a book about Melania Trump entitled Melania and Me. In the publication, she claimed that Melania is in a transactional marriage with President Donald Trump.
Wolkoff said Melania is Donald’s arm candy. Meanwhile, he helped her become an American citizen. She noted that Melania was just a young striving model and wasn’t successful yet when they met.
