U.S. President Donald Trump and Melania Trump held a commencement ceremony in the East Room of the White House, Friday (May 22).
A total of twenty high-achieving students from schools across the country have graced the said event organized by the president and First Lady Melania Trump.
The graduates, who took coronavirus tests before they were admitted into the White House, ranged in age and educational level — some attained undergraduate and postgraduate degrees while others received their high school diplomas.
FLOTUS encouraged the graduates amid the COVID-19 pandemic
Melania took to Twitter to share some snaps and details of the prestigious event. She also shared some words of encouragement to the graduates, who were, in one way or another, got affected by the present global health crisis.
In her speech, the FLOTUS said:
“You, our next generation, already possess the strength and resilience of the American spirit,’ she said, remarking on their ability to adapt to changing circumstances while completing their studies.”
The mother of Barron Trump, also, urged the students to never let the pandemic stop them from achieving their dreams. Melania furthered:
“My hope for each of you is that will you always focus on what you want in life. You will be overwhelmed sometimes and there will be bumps in the road ahead, but continue to strive for greatness. Believe in yourself and don’t ever give up.”
FLOTUS criticized online, called ‘irresponsible’
Critics of Melania Trump were quick to react to her post.
“You are incredibly irresponsible. This was a vanity project for you and your cult leader. There is a pandemic going on. But I guess with 95,000+ dead the mantra at the WH is “I really don’t care, do you?!” one netizen said.
You have had numerous confirmed cases of Coronavirus at the White House. Not enforcing masks makes you an absolute irresponsible dumbass.

“OMG So irresponsible. No one wearing a mask. Social distancing practically non-existent. And absolutely no emotion or warmth in that speech. I despise this woman as much as her husband. And people actually felt sorry for her,” another Twitter user wrote in the comment section.

“The most beautiful, caring, articulate and classy First Lady in American history. Totally ignored by the lame and corrupt press,” another netizen shared.
Melania Trump’s step-daughter completes law school
Meanwhile, President Trump’s daughter, Tiffany, just attained her law degree from Georgetown University.
The POTUS even posted a congratulatory message for his daughter on Twitter. “Congratulations to my daughter, Tiffany, on graduating from Georgetown Law. Great student, great school. Just what I need is a lawyer in the family. Proud of you Tiff!” he said.
Marla Maples, Tiffany’s mom and the POTUS’s ex-wife, also sent her wishes via Twitter. “We are so grateful for your kind [heart] @TiffanyATrump & dedication to your education, commitment to humanity & most important your wisdom which is your God blessing to share,” she wrote.
