Melania Trump and Ivanka Trump have, reportedly, been at odds with each other for years. However, both women have denied the allegations.
But in the book Melania and Me: The Rise and Fall of My Friendship With the First Lady, author Stephanie Winston Wolkoff detailed some of the conversations she had with Melania Trump.
One of their favorite topics was, reportedly, Donald Trump’s eldest daughter, Ivanka.
According to the author, the FLOTUS previously described her stepdaughter and her husband, Jared Kushner as “snakes.”
“There is a deep mistrust between Melania and her stepdaughter Ivanka. In several text messages, Melania used the snake emoji to refer to Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner. In one text message, Melania replied with, ‘you know how they are snakes,’” Wolkoff said.
Melania Trump reportedly dislikes Ivanka Trump
The author also said that there were several times wherein the POTUS’s wife referred to Ivanka as “princess.” However, the nickname was used in a derogatory and snarky manner.
“During a conversation with Melania, Wolkoff asked how many people Ivanka has in helping her. Melania, reportedly, replied with: ‘Who? You mean Princess?!’” he said.
‘Operation Block Ivanka’ happened because of FLOTUS
And it was also, reportedly, Melania who came up with the so-called “Operation Block Ivanka.” The goal was to keep the first daughter away from the cameras during Trump’s inauguration.
“Obtaining sketches of where everybody would be standing and what the cameras would be picking up, Melania could plan exactly who would or wouldn’t be in the frame. Wolkoff wrote: ‘If Ivanka was not on the aisle, her face would be hidden while she was seated. For the standing part, we put Barron between Donald and Melania and made sure that Don Jr. stood next to Melania, not Ivanka. Yes, Operation Block Ivanka was petty,’” it was revealed.
Donald Trump’s wife, daughter didn’t want to be associated with each other
The two women’s feud has, allegedly, become so bad that the FLOTUS vowed to never co-host anything with Ivanka. After the first family moved to the White House, Ivanka expressed her desire to become more involved with the International Women’s Day event.
When the FLOTUS heard this, she, reportedly, expressed her disdain and said that she won’t co-host anything with Ivanka.
Barron Trump’s mom also refused to wear any designer that Ivanka has worn first. After Ivanka wore a Kaufman Franco dress, Melania Trump, reportedly, removed the designer from her list of clothes makers.
Ivanka Trump’s thoughts on the FLOTUS
According to the author, Ivanka isn’t also very fond of her stepmother. In fact, she wants the FLOTUS out of the picture.
“Ivanka was relentless and was determined to be the First Daughter Lady and to usurp office space out from under Melania Trump; she wanted to be the only visible female Trump on the premises, and she was actively using her influence with Katie Walsh, Reince Priebus, and Hope Hicks to thwart our efforts,” he said.
