Michelle Obama battling depression amid ongoing marriage crisis with Barack: rumor

Share

Michelle Obama is allegedly battling depression as her marriage with her husband, Barack Obama, hit rock bottom.

Michelle Obama has been busy with a lot of projects on her plate. However, one outlet claimed that she is not in a good place and is actually suffering from depression.

Michelle Obama allegedly suffering from depression

The former first lady has been battling depression throughout the pandemic, according to Globe. Michelle and Barack are also going through a marriage crisis that puts her in a bad place, the tabloid added.

Michelle allegedly doesn’t like Barack’s self-serving attitude. She is reportedly demanding more respect, the tabloid added.

The article also claimed that the former first couple has consulted with divorce lawyers, which hasn’t helped her mental health. It also quoted Michelle saying, “depression is understandable during these times.” She also said it is important for one to acknowledge it instead of ignoring it.

The outlet added that Michelle is saving herself and planning to leave the public spotlight for good.

“I’ve been telling my daughters I’m moving towards retirement right now,” Michelle allegedly said.

Rumor debunked

Gossip Cop debunked the report saying it has a habit of lifting Michelle Obama’s words out of context. For instance, when the ex-FLOTUS jokingly mentioned pushing Barack Obama out of a window, the tabloid took it as if she was plotting his murder.

Also, the talks about Michelle retiring from the spotlight were taken from her interview with People, where she talked about retirement. Michelle told the outlet that she has been moving to retirement and has been picking projects and chasing summer.

The rumor-debunking site pointed out the difference between retiring and limiting the number of projects that one is planning to take on. Michelle also said that she and Barack are building the Obama Foundation and wants someone to continue working for it on behalf of them so they can retire and spend time together.

According to Gossip Cop, Globe made direct quotes from Michelle’s interview but deliberately did not include her plans to retire with her husband, which suggests that they are not divorcing. The removal of that part and the retirement story resulted in taking Michelle’s words out of context.

Marriage on the rocks rumor debunked

Globe previously published a report claiming that Barack Obama was bragging about his memoir, A Promised Land. It reportedly led to a “final marriage crisis,” which didn’t sit well with his wife, Michelle Obama.

However, the tabloid has been pushing the same narrative about Michelle and Barack having a marital crisis without finality. Which only means that they aren’t sure about their report, so one has to take the report with a grain of salt.
