Miley Cyrus is, allegedly, spiraling out of control after her latest album, Plastic Hearts failed to make it to number one.
According to In Touch Weekly, the album has been receiving wonderful reviews from experts. However, the fans of Miley Cyrus do not seem to agree with the reviews because only 36,000 albums were sold.
“Miley is furious. It’s one of the records she’s most proud of making, and she threw a fit when she learned sales aren’t going so well,” the source said.
Miley Cyrus blames her record label and fans for ‘Plastic Hearts’ flop
The insider claimed that Cyrus initially blamed her record label for not selling her album to more record stores.
But the singer eventually put the blame on her fans for not supporting her and Plastic Hearts.
“But now she blames her fans for not understanding her creative turn covering some iconic ‘80s hits. Miley’s evolved, but her core fans back from her Hannah Montana days don’t know what to make of her anymore and seem to have deserted her,” the source said.
With this, the insider claimed that Cyrus has been feeling down. So, she finds herself lashing out at everyone over the smallest things.
What’s Liam Hemsworth, Cody Simpson got to do with it?
The tabloid even had the audacity to mention Cyrus’ previous relationships with Liam Hemsworth and Cody Simpson even if they don’t have anything to do with her album.
After all, the tabloid insisted that Miley Cyrus is still reeling from her splits from the two men. And her latest album flop has, allegedly, added to her already stressful life.
Miley Cyrus ‘Plastic Hearts’ album a hit
However, the tabloid’s claims aren’t accurate. Last month, Variety revealed that Cyrus’ album landed at the number two spot on the Rolling Stone album chart.
The singer also managed to sell 58,200 album units and her songs garnered 46.8 million streams.
Cyrus also earned 18,200 album sales and 20,400 song sales.
Last year, the former child star also talked about Plastic Hearts. While speaking with Zane Lowe on Apple Music, Cyrus explained why it took her years to release her latest album.
“I have a fear of writing new music because what I’ve been is so large. I’m really excited for this record to come out because it’s the most proud I could be of anything. And again, I just feel so much gratitude towards the collaborators who helped me create it,” Miley Cyrus said.
