Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth’s relationship became controversial following the repeated on-and-off cycle. They, however, officially separated last year after less than a year of marriage.
While speculations as to why they decided to part ways have continued to develop, the former couple seemingly kept the details private. Reports noted, though, that they wished the public to respect their decision.
The former couple met on the set of The Last Song in 2009. They starred in the romantic drama film as a couple. Although dating rumors shortly emerged amid the film’s production, it was not until 2010 when they confirmed the relationship.
Since then, the couple, reportedly, ran in an on and off dynamic. In 2012, however, Liam Hemsworth proposed to Miley Cyrus and gave her a “giant” 3.5-carat Neil Lane engagement ring, according to Us Weekly.
Many of their fans and supporters were waiting for the details of their wedding. But to the surprise of many, they called off the engagement in 2013 and parted ways.
Three years later, they got back together and continued the relationship. The Wrecking Ball singer posted a photo of her wearing the engagement ring that the Isn’t It Romantic actor gifted her in 2012.
In December of 2018, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth tied the knot. Within eight months of marriage, the couple repeatedly gave their fans a glimpse inside their newly-married life. No one thought that they were having problems but, in August 2019, they shockingly announced that they were separating due to “irreconcilable differences.”
A year has already passed since their split, and months since the finalization of their divorce. But, their avid shippers are certain that a “reconciliation” might happen soon, according to Cheat Sheet.
Miley Cyrus recently talked about her past relationship with Liam Hemsworth during an interview for the Call Her Daddy podcast. She revealed that the Hunger Games actor was the first man she ever slept with, adding that she lied about it to him.
The Slide Away singer described it as “pretty crazy,” considering that she ended up marrying the “same” guy. She also shared that it “directly affected” her life. But, amid all of it, the songstress stated that it feels “like a death” to her to lose a loved one.
After hearing her statements on the podcast episode, many fans, reportedly, concluded that Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth might reconcile soon. However, no one is seemingly certain that they will end up as a couple again.
