Miley Cyrus, allegedly, checked herself into a rehab facility last year due to her obsession with social media.
According to Heat, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth’s heartbreaking split caused the singer to go off the rails. And since she was struggling during this time, Cyrus sought comfort from her social media use.
Miley Cyrus needed help due to her social media obsession
A source told the tabloid that the Hannah Montana star became too obsessed with social media because she loves the attention that she received there.
Friends of the singer were, allegedly, worried about her. And they encouraged her to check into a rehab facility. However, even before Cyrus could recover, she got into a relationship with Cody Simpson. But this relationship didn’t last either.
Miley Cyrus broke down after Cody Simpson split
According to the source, Cyrus suffered a breakdown after her split from Simpson. Cyrus, allegedly, gave an interview about her split, where she said that Simpson is the only good man she’s ever met.
However, an entire year has passed when the tabloid first claimed that Cyrus was spiraling out of control. And they still haven’t provided concrete proofs to support their claims.
Rumors debunked
By the looks of it, the tabloids are just preying on Cyrus’ heartbreak. But even though she must have gotten hurt after her split, Cyrus continued to move forward with her life.
It is not true that Miley Cyrus broke down after her split from Simpson. In fact, she told her millions of fans that there’s no drama between them because they’re still friends.
According to Gossip Cop, it is also unlikely that Cyrus has an obsession with social media. If she did and she sought treatment for it, more reputable publications would’ve reported on it.
The singer talks about her sobriety
The former child star has been very vocal about her struggles with sobriety in the past. And if she’s obsessed with social media, Cyrus would’ve also been the one to admit this to her fans.
While speaking with Variety, Cyrus talked about her sobriety journey.
“It’s really hard because especially being young, there’s that stigma of “you’re no fun.” It’s like, “honey, you can call me a lot of things, but I know that I’m fun.” The thing that I love about it is waking up 100%, 100% of the time. I don’t want to wake up feeling groggy. I want to wake up feeling ready,” Miley Cyrus said.
