Miley Cyrus has a lot of popular tracks, and some of them are reportedly for Liam Hemsworth.
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are some of the most controversial couples that the world has witnessed. After the decade-long on-off relationship, it is not surprising why almost everyone knows about their ties with each other.
In 2009, during which time Miley was 17 and Liam was 20, all eyes were reportedly on the duo. Along with the hype for The Last Song‘s arrival, it is no wonder why fans were able to follow their relationship since then.
Miley Cyrus has songs for Liam Hemsworth
The year after, the Hannah Montana star released her third album, ‘Can’t Be Tamed.’ She revealed that she obtained inspiration from Liam Hemsworth for some of the tracks, according to Vulture.
But, aside from the “inspiration,” there are several songs that Miley Cyrus made for her then-husband. Most of them even became the artist’s chart-hitting tracks through the years.
‘Adore You’ from ‘Bangerz’
In 2013, Miley Cyrus released her fourth album, ‘Bangerz.’ The tracks in this album include ‘Adore You,’ ‘We Can’t Stop,’ and ‘Wrecking Ball.’
Speaking to Ellen DeGeneres, she reportedly shared that the “whole album” is about their relationship. With ‘Adore You’ as the first on the tracklist, not to mention the lyrics, it did not take too long before fans understood why this is a song for Liam Hemsworth.
Aside from this track, many fans concluded that ‘Wrecking Ball’ is also Miley’s song for Liam. As explained, the release of the album reportedly came after they called off their engagement.
But, reports noted that the single debuted on August 13, during which time, they are still together.
‘Malibu’ from ‘Younger Now’
‘Malibu’ is the lead single from Miley Cyrus’ 2017 album ‘Younger Now.’ She and Liam Hemsworth reportedly got back together years prior. The artist addressed this narrative in the track, according to Cheat Sheet.
Also, the publication noted that Miley, herself, revealed that she chose to write it with her then-partner in mind. Alongside this, they also shared a home in Malibu.
‘Slide Away’
While Miley Cyrus did not confirm whether she wrote this song for her former husband, fans speculated that this is for him. As reported, the stand-alone single, ‘Slide Away,’ came out days after the official separation.
The lyrics also reportedly centered on their relationship. There are also “references” to Liam’s alleged drug abuse, as well as their first meeting and their Malibu home. Miley Cyrus and the track became “iconic” following her emotional performance of the song at the MTV Video Music Awards.
