After the long wait, the next DLC character for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has been revealed, and it’s someone that fans are expecting. We also got to see more of the new DLC character in the presentation as well.
Series producer Masahiro Sakurai was the one to spearhead the presentation for the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC reveal. The DLC character, of course, is none other than Min Min from ARMS. Here’s everything we know about the upcoming character.
Release date
Min Min will be coming to the game on June 29, and players who’ve bought the Fighters Pass will immediately have access to her once she goes live. She can also be bought separately.
Aside from Min Min, players will also get a new stage based on ARMS. Nintendo will also add 18 soundtracks from the fighting game. Lastly, players can buy five new Mii Fighter costumes, and they are Heihachi from Tekken, Vault Boy from Fallout, Ninjara from ARMS, and Marrie and Callie.
Min Min skillset
Min Min is a true martial artist in ARMS. As with most DLCs in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, her skillset translate well to how she actually plays in her origin game.
According to Sakurai, Min Min is particularly good against heavy characters. These are Browser, Wario, Donkey Kong, and others with large frames. What makes her a perfect counter to these high damaging enemies is her range.
Min Min has an exceptionally long reach, allowing her to hit enemies from a few meters away. What makes her even more dangerous is that she can throw her ring weapon to damage enemies from even further. Players may want to keep their distance when using Min Min as she’s a light character that can be launched quickly.
She’ll have no trouble with projectiles as her kick can deflect these easily.
Her smash attack is a Megawatt punch that can easily KO opponents, but players will have to charge it for a long time first. The key is to hide from afar to charge up Megawatt, and then throw it as enemies are nearing. Her final smash is a flurry of punches that ends with her Dragon Arm,
Min Min is the first of six characters coming with the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighters Pass 2. According to Sakurai, the rest of the heroes will be released by 2022, so we might have to wait a while for the next character.
