Sending a little extra love today to all of the moms, and to anyone who may be missing theirs right now. It’s nice how through my daughter, I am able to experience memories with my own mom. If you have a favorite memory about your mom or mother figure, I’d love to hear! #MothersDay
The Late Night actress says she hired a babysitter for her newborn. She shared that it was one of the best suggestions she made. She also credits her for helping through the initial days of taking care of the baby.
Nothing like she imagined
Mindy gave the middle name Swati to her first daughter in honor of her mother, Swati Chokalingam. She lost her mother in 2012 of pancreatic cancer, just ahead of receiving approval for her series The Mindy Project.
The announcement comes after Mindy’s essay collection titled Nothing Like I Imagined (Except for Sometimes)’s release. In the essays, the writer reveals that she is ready to expand her family if her baby nurse is ready to assist her.
The writer-comedienne never revealed the identity of her children’s father. After her first pregnancy came to light, speculations arose that she might have used a sperm donor. Despite the speculations, the actress neither confirmed nor denied the news.
