Moonton has major plans for Mobile Legends with the Project NEXT update. It has been busy testing out the changes to the heroes, and now, the developer has a nice trailer to show off what they’ve accomplished.
After the long wait, the release of Mobile Legends Project NEXT has been announced, and it will be on Sept. 22. The release date of the update was announced with a sleek cinematic trailer that showcased some of the key changes coming to lesser-picked heroes.
Project NEXT comes next
The goal of Moonton with the Project NEXT update is to help give more spotlight to some of the heroes in the game. As there are lots to choose from, some heroes have lower pick rates than others. This results in games feeling the same over and over again.
The stars of the trailer are Eudora, Miya, and Zilong. It showed them struggling in combat but later on rising to the challenge. By the end of the trailer, we get to see the new forms of the heroes once the Project NEXT update arrives. This signifies the rebirth of the heroes.
Apart from their appearance, the upcoming update will also rework the heroes. They’ll be given new skills and abilities – all of which have been revealed in a previous update from the developers.
There are many others who are getting changes as well. These include Clint, Tigreal, Layla, and Balmond. Most of the heroes are those who have long been in the game. However, they’ve been pushed back into the meta because of the new heroes that are added. Basically, players can expect wildly different matches once the update arrives.
Major upgrades
Aside from changing some of the lesser-picked heroes in the MOBA, Project NEXT also hopes to bring key visual changes to Mobile Legends.
The developers have already showcased some of the visual changes, which include updates to the UI at the main menu. There are also major changes to the special effects while in a match. Aside from making the game feel and look more refined, the visual changes also hope to up the performance if the game.
