Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is not coming until July 9, but Capcom announced a playable demo available on June 25 with progress you can carry.
So far, Capcom released a trailer for Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin. With a few weeks more of waiting, players can enjoy it soon. Those who can’t wait anymore can also enjoy a demo coming this June 25.
Wings of Ruin trial version will allow progress to carry over
So far, Capcom announced a trial version of Monster Hunter Stories 2. The demo will be better than most, as player progress is usable for the main game. Nobody knows how big the demo will be, but usable progress is great for the trial.
“Your epic adventure in Monster Hunter Stories 2 is about to begin, with the game releasing on Nintendo Switch and Steam on July 9,” said Capcom in a blog.
“To keep your hype levels charged up to max Kinship level, we had some exciting reveals for E3 2021: a “Trial Version” demo is on the way, coming to Nintendo Switch on June 25, and Steam on July 9! With the “Trial Version,” you can create your own Rider, start your journey, befriend and raise some Monsties, and eventually transfer all your progress to the full game at launch.
“Also, shortly after release, we’re bringing the Palamute, from Monster Hunter Rise, as a Monstie in Monster Hunter Stories 2. This free update will be available on July 15.”
MH Stories 2 collabs with MH Rise
Capcom announced the trial for Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin during their E3 2021 showcase. The accompanying trailer was one of the most comprehensive views of the game right now.
The trailer itself showed off parts of the game’s battle system. It also fleshed out much of the narrative and lore that fans can expect from the game.
In collaboration with Stories 2, Monster Hunter Rise will have a tie-up event that will kick off on June 18. It will go with the Tsukino Palico Layered from Wings of Ruin. Hunters who complete the event can receive a layered armor based on Tsukino.
In return, players who use their Stories 2 save data can access Rider layered armor on Monster Hunters Rise. This version will base on the gear of Mahana Village Monster Riders.
More collaboration events are also coming in the future, not only for Rise but Stories 2 as well. For those interested in the demo, it’s best to watch for it in the Steam and Switch pages for Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin.
