In the last minutes before its official unveiling, two promo videos were released, detailing the Motorola Edge series’ key features.
Motorola should be announcing the Motorola Edge series anytime today. And hours before the its intended launch, a couple of videos popped up to signal that the unveiling is nigh.
Noted leaker Evan Blass released two promo videos for the Motorola Edge and Edge+, revealing the phones’ key specifications in the process.
Motorola Edge+ features and specifications
Based on the promo videos and reports from various tech sites, the Motorola Edge+ is expected to come with a 6.7-inch OLEd screen with punch-hole. The phone’s display is also tipped to feature curved edges and a fingerprint reader underneath. The phone should also support an FHD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate.
The Motorola Edge+ should debut with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 chipset. The phone is then set to be paired with 12GB of LPDDR5 of RAM and UFS 3.0 storage. A 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast wired charging is also likely to be featured.
The Motorola Edge+ will also debut with a triple-camera setup. The system could comprise a 108MP sensor as its main lens, with a 16MP ultrawide shooter and an 8MP telephoto lens as its auxiliary shooters. The phone should also come with a 25MP front-facing camera.
Other key features of the Motorola Edge+ are 6K video-shooting capabilities, Bluetooth 5.1, and Android 10.0. The 5G support on the Edge+ will purportedly be capable of over 4Gbps of download speeds.
Motorola Edge features and specifications
The Motorola Edge is tipped to rejuvenate Lenovo’s presence in the mid-range segment. As it is, the phone could only sport some of the top-of-the-line features in its class.
The vanilla Motorola Edge will be built around on the same curved edge 90Hz display which is available on the Edge+ variant. Reports also indicate that the phone would be powered by the Snapdragon 765G chipset, also a 5G-enabling SoC.
The Motorola Edge will also employ a triple-camera setup on its rear. The setup is said to be front-lined by a 64MP main lens. Its secondary and tertiary cameras are likely to launch similarly with that of the Edge+.
Other key features of the Motorola Edge are 25MP front-facing camera, stereo speakers, and in-display fingerprint reader.
The Motorola Edge and Edge+ are scheduled to be launched today.
