MudRunner is a critically acclaimed PC off-road sim driving game that will be arriving on the mobile platform by July 15. Currently, the game can be played on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
What is MudRunner?
MudRunner is some sort of a successor to Saber Interactive’s 2014 Spintires. It is Saber’s multi-million seller game franchise.
It revolves around ta terrain trucking gameplay. There’s a realistic Physics-based mechanics that players will need to master. There are objectives and deliveries that players will need to accomplish.
It has extreme sandbox maps with a dynamic day and night cycles. Players will need to “overcome muddy terrain, raging rivers and other obstacles that all realistically react to the weight and movement of your vehicle powered by the game’s advanced physics engine.”
Per the game’s official website:
MudRunner comes with a total graphical overhaul and advanced physics engine, along with countless improvements: new vegetation and mud interaction, improved differential lock systems, better soft-body tire simulation, enhanced water physics, and much more. The environment and your vehicles also constantly react to one another, rewarding your best maneuvers and punishing any slip-ups.
There are 19 all-terrain vehicles that are designed for the “most extreme conditions.” There is attachable equipment as well, with vehicles having their own characteristics that’ll have their own durability to certain types of maps.
However, the success of missions will still be based on players driving skills. There’s a multiplayer/co-op mode as well that will be enjoyable to up to three players.
Per Eurogamer, the mobile version of MudRunner will have an all-new user interface which will be very interesting to witness. The media outlet reports that the highly commended realistic, not to mention hard, physics-based driving gameplay will be maintained on its expansion to the mobile platform.
Game review
The game received a “very positive” review on Steam, with players still commending the game up until now. Players continue to applaud the game’s realistic physics and attention to detail.
One recent review reads, “It’s big trucks, big tires and lots of mud – what’s not to like!! The realism of the truck movements is pretty freakin’ cool. I think the steering is a bit off (too much over correction), but that’s the only thing I can say I dislike after 3 hours. Multiplayer is even more fun, tag-teaming with the winches and fuel. On sale, it’s worthwhile for sure!”
Currently, the PC version is 70% off on Steam. For its mobile version, TheSixthAxis reports that can iOS users can now pre-order the game for €6.99[AU$11.36]. Android users can also pre-register for the game. However, no price tag was revealed.
