Along with the release of the My Hero Academia manga’s 29th compiled book volume on January 4, Shueisha also announced the eye-popping digits of the anime’s released copies!
On Monday, the 29th volume of My Hero Academia was released to make way to launch Shueisha’s My Hero Academia Year.
At the same time, the year 2021 would be called by the Japanese publishing company as the year of the said anime as it has lined up several presents for its fans waiting for its release.
The staggering number of the hype
The print and digital copies of Kōhei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia manga has released over 30 million copies in circulation.
The announcement was made on the same day the 29th compiled book volume of the anime was released.
My Hero Academia Year is preparing a lot of events this year. One is on March 27, which will be the premiere of the fifth television anime season.
The spring of 2021 will be even more mesmerizing with the release of My Hero Academia’s Season 5. The poster revealed in October officially announced the spring 2021 air window.
It is along with what seems to be a costume update for Class 1-A and the surprise return of Shinso Hitoshi. The character is a student in Season 2 that was last relevant during the Sports Festival.
Except for Season 1, the series followed a 25 episode format so far. It means that Season 5 will be airing for approximately six months.
It will also give Studio Bones and the series creator Kohei Horikoshi more time to work on Seasons 6 and 7.

The coming of the third anime film
More to the anime’s 2021 surprises is the franchise’s first art exhibit in April and this summer’s release of its third anime film.
Last year’s 52nd issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine revealed that the My Hero Academia franchise would get a third anime film.
Kōhei Horikoshi, the original manga creator, will again serve as a chief supervisor and original character designer.
In an author’s comment for the manga, Horikoshi had said that he wouldn’t know anything yet. However, he’s drawing a lot.
In July 2014, Horikoshi launched the manga series in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine.
Viz Media published the manga‘s English version in North America, both digital and in print. Simultaneously, Shueisha’s MANGA Plus service also publishes the manga in English digitally.
