After a post-credit teaser at the end of the Season 4 finale, My Hero Academia Season 5 will surely come. Although it has been only more than a moment when the previous season ended, fans are now excited about the new season.
On the animated series’ official Twitter account, it confirmed that My Hero Academia Season 5 is about to come. Now, it’s only a matter of time when fans will see All Might and the rest of the gang on the small screens again.
The show’s return and possible start
“The fifth season of Hiroaka comes!” the tweet’s English translation read, via Game Spot. “My Hero Academia TV anime 5th production decision! New visuals are also lifted!”
In the final episode, “His Start,” the pro-hero Endeavor managed to defeat the genetically enhanced Nomu monster. Everything turned emotional when he put him down while his fans and peers watched them helplessly on the sidelines.
However, their story would never end there. After the show’s credits, people behind the show treated fans with a surprising teaser. It featured Midoriya Izuku, AKA Deku, having a nightmare in his dorm room.
In his dream, he faced a long line of people, who seemed to be the past users of One For All, his hand-me-down Quirk. One of them called him and asked if he’s the ninth or the ninth user of One For All.
From here, Deku woke up and gasped for air, while a new ability seemed to be glowing from his hand. The scene was then cut to show a title card that read, “to be continued 5th season.” This only means that My Hero Academia Season 5 is going to be in the works, and it may possibly begin here.
The new season’s possible release date
However, there are no talks about the new season’s release date yet. As the world is still fighting against the COVID-19 pandemic, the shows’ future remains uncertain.
According to Devdiscourse, the coronavirus outbreak has affected the entertainment industry all over the world. Hence, it is now losing billions of dollars of supposed earnings.
So, it may take a little while before fans finally see My Hero Academia Season 5 on the small screen. Anyhow, they can now prepare for the return of their favorite characters. Of course, Akatsuki Bakugo, Michael Tatum, Izuku Midoriya, Clifford Chapin, Kenya Lida, Chaco Muranaka, Justin briner, Luci Christian will all be back. So, fans may only wait for Studio Bones’ official announcement about it.
