‘My Hero Academia’ Season 5: The calm before the storm

My Hero Academia Season 5

My Hero Academia Season 5 is about to unveil its new arc and it is not just a simple storyline.

The darkest storyline in the manga series is about to make its way in My Hero Academia Season 5. Meta Liberation Army arc, or aka My Villain Academia, will finally be seen in its animated form, though a hiatus will soon happen first.

A Short Break

The anime series will go on a short break to hype up the new season more. After the release of Episode 101, it will be off the air on July 3.

According to Comicbook, the next arc will follow the events of the Joint Training Exercise. By the looks of it, the anime will take a break from the issues the heroes face and will feature the problems the villains have instead.

A new treat is coming to the League of Villains’ way and the enemy will try to take down the Hero Society, too.

Anyhow, before the dark chapter finally begins, Deku and his friends will make things light first.

They will be celebrating the Christmas season in My Hero Academia Season 5 Episode 101. Fans are about to see their favorite heroes in costume, looking like Santa Clause, to celebrate the holiday.

As the anime’s voice actors have hinted at how dark the next arc is, this particular installment is a breath of fresh air.

Twitter user Atsuhi 101X shares the news about the anime’s hiatus, along with other Season 5 updates.

“Some Hero Day highlights: No PV or KV revealed for 2nd cour. EP101 will be the final ep of 1st cour,” it reads. “So new OP & ED soon. Anime’s Timeslot won’t change even when 2nd cour begins. No MHA episode on July 3rd, it’ll be on break.”

New Episode Promo

Meanwhile, before the new arc begins, the franchise has officially dropped My Hero Academia Season 5 Episode 101 promo.

The newly-stills teased a holiday party and everyone is in their most festive mood. Izuku, Kirishima, Ochaco, and the rest of the gangs are all celebrating the Christmas season in the snaps.

Everyone is dressed up for the celebration, but it looks like Bakugo does not like the holiday style. He remains wearing his black loungewear, so does this mean that he will coal this holiday?

Well, everyone is hoping not and he may join the celebration later. In fact, there is a photo of him laughing in his winter uniform.

There is also a different shot compared to others, showing Aizawa sitting with Principal Nezu. The two looks like they are reading a document that the teachers may unveil on the release of My Hero Academia Season 5 Episode 101 on Saturday, June 19.
