NCT 127 and Ateez battled it out on KBS 2’s Music Bank, and both groups got a lot of votes.
On September 17, 2021, NCT 127 made their triumphant return with the release of Sticker, the official NCT sub-third unit’s full-length album.
The group reportedly received a large amount of pre-orders and became a million sellers within 24 hours of their introduction. NCT’s Sticker pre-orders started on August 23, and the band received 1.32 million pre-orders on August 24.
Sticker was also NCT 127’s first album to reach a million pre-orders mark. Since the album’s release on September 17, the group has set another sales record, with 2,152,399 copies sold out in less than a week.
NCT 127 has been dubbed double million-sellers since this figure surpassed their previous high, becoming the first SM Entertainment act.
‘Sticker’ earns NCT 127’s second victory
Music competitions have proven to be a good method for K-pop groups and performers to compete. NCT 127’s Sticker won Mnet’s M Countdown on September 23, six days after the release of their album, defeating Blackpink Lisa’s Lalisa, a song that had dominated charts for weeks.

On September 24, NCT 127 won for the second time in a row on KBS 2’s Music Bank, where they fought against Ateez for the crown. Because Mnet’s M Countdown had no new performances on September 23, NCT 127’s first time performing Sticker.
A close fight for the crown
On the afternoon of September 24, NCT 127’s return show aired, with their song Sticker competing against Ateez’s Deja Vu.
NCT 127 and Ateez battled it out on KBS 2’s Music Bank, and both groups got a lot of votes. Ateez’s Deja Vu received 4,335 votes, while NCT 127’s Sticker received 4,784 votes, giving them a 449-vote victory.
