NeNe Leakes ‘RHOA’ co-stars think friendship with Wendy Williams is fake

NeNe Leakes 'RHOA' co-stars think friendship with Wendy Williams is fake

NeNe Leakes is making headlines again after the Real Housewives of Atlanta virtual reunion on Sunday. This time it’s about her friendship with Wendy Williams.

NeNe Leakes was called into question in the season 12 reunion of RHOA for having a very complicated friendship with talk show host Williams. This isn’t anything new though as the show has always been so fiercely dramatic.

The strategic friendship

Leakes’ co-stars Kenya Moore and Kandi Buruss both agreed that Leakes and Williams do not share an authentic friendship.

“I don’t think that is a real friendship,” Moore said. “I think that they both are not really being genuine and honest with each other.”

Burruss also said that in her opinion, Leakes’ is very strategic with her friendships.

“The Wendy situation to me, I feel like that’s definitely strategic,” said Burruss.

Burruss also stated that Williams is very beneficial to Leakes as a friend. With her big platform in The Wendy Williams Show, Burruss thinks that Leakes is taking advantage of Williams.

She said that Leakes can just give Williams information that will favor her and appear good to the public. She thinks that is the reason why the 52-year old actress is making sure that their friendship doesn’t end up in ruins.

The topic on their friendship surfaced after talk show host and producer Andy Cohen asked Leakes if she is still in good terms with Williams.

The previous feud

According to reports, Leakes and Williams are currently in a feud just because of an unannounced FaceTime call.

Leakes has been keeping herself busy during the quarantine period by doing Instagram Live sessions just like most stars have been doing lately.

She was scheduled to go on live with her former co-star Kim Zolciak when she thought of calling Williams while waiting for Zolciak. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a bad idea as Williams was not on board with it at all.

The 55-year old media personality said that Leakes called her up shortly after 10 o’clock. She was confused of the screaming and being on speakerphone at first until she was told that they were on live.

Williams explained that Leakes’ call was an “ambush” and that she doesn’t like to do video calls.

“You know I don’t have face or time for FaceTime, period,” Williams said. “If I don’t do it for my own parents of the show, why would I be doing it for someone over there.”

NeNe Leakes refused to talk about her ongoing feud and drama with Williams. Only time can tell for now if they will be able to fix their friendship or if it will remain broken.
