Netflix just revealed many new anime series and titles on Tuesday during the Netflix Anime Festival Livestream, out of Japan.
According to Deadline, Netflix unveiled 11 new anime titles in the Livestream festival.
Notable announcements came in the form of Rilakkuma’s Theme Park Adventure, manga-based Thermae Romae Novae, High-Rise Invasion, Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan and The Way of the Househusband.
In the event, chief producer, Anime at Netflix, Taiki Sakurai said, “In just four short years since launching our creative team in Tokyo, Netflix has expanded the reach and overall audience of anime – a category conventionally seen as niche.”
“Given the success of shows such as Seven Deadly Sins and Baki, we are excited now more than ever to challenge ourselves to expand our aspirational anime programming for fans around the world,” he added further.
All the new anime series announced by Netflix
Speaking of the entire announcement in the Tuesday Livestream festival, there are 11 of them. Five titles were mentioned, with two of them having a release schedule.
Rilakkuma’s Theme Park Adventure series is in stop-motion animation. It will show an active day of incidents and meetings that take place when Rilakkuma, Korilakkuma, Kiiroitori, and Kaoru go play in an amusement park. Masahito Kobayashi is the director of this title, while the writer is Takashi Sumita & Makoto Ueda.
Popular manga Thermae Romae Novae is also brought to life in the form of a show. Mari Yamazaki is the creator of new episodes on this project.
It will show Lucious, a bath designer in the Roman empire, accidentally slipping back into modern time. He learns about a new Japanese bath culture in this comedy series.
Another title, High-Rise Invasion, will arrive next year. It’s based on the manga by Miura Tsuina (Ajin) and Takahiro Oba (Box!).
Also coming in 2021 is The Way of the Househusband. It will show Tatsu, the evilest yakuza, and a legend in the underworld.
Spoke Kishibe Rohan is also the new series consisting of four episodes. It’s based on the story from Hirohiko Araki and Shueisha Jump Comics. Toshiyuki Kato is the director, and Shunichi Ishimoto is the character designer.

The rest of the new titles revealed by Netflix include Eden, Vampire in the Garden, and Yasuke. Godzilla Singular Point, Pacific Rim: The Black, and Trese are also on the list.
However, the highly awaited shows are mostly Transformers: War for the Cybertron Trilogy and Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness.
Meanwhile, B: The Beginning Succession, Baki Hanma, and Spriggan are the remaining shows that were announced on Tuesday. It’s a lot of reveals, for sure, from Netflix.
