Netflix reveals release date for ‘Seven Deadly Sins: Wrath of the Gods’

Seven Deadly Sins season 4 entitled Wrath of The Gods arrives on Netflix on August 6. However, its season 5 release date remains vague.

Seven Deadly Sins anime series is already gearing up for its season 5 premiere in Japan. However, the show’s fourth installment remains uncertain for Netflix subscribers. Fortunately, the streaming platform recently updated its home page for Seven Deadly Sins to signal the release of season 4.

Seven Deadly Sins: Wrath of the Gods arrives August

After almost three years of waiting, fans can finally stream the newest installment of Seven Deadly Sins on Netflix. The network announced that the full season would drop on the platform on August 6.

In the show’s home page, Netflix wrote:

“Season 4 coming August 6.”

Nevertheless, a fourth season was guaranteed even before Netflix announced since there are still a lot of stories to cover from the manga.

What to expect

The upcoming season will be entitled Wrath of the Gods. In this installment, many secrets and revelations will be unveiled as Meliodas’ relationship with Elizabeth takes an unexpected turn. The connection between the characters is a very mysterious one, and it will likely become a major part of the plot.

Furthermore, fans will witness the kingdom of Camelot falling to Zeldris and the other commandments. With King Arthur in hiding, viewers will find out whether it will be the end for Camelot or not.

Above all, with the Seven Deadly Sins separated across the kingdom, they will probably unite once again in season 4 to take on the lingering threat of the demon clan.

Cast and trailer

All the previous cast members will return in season four. Devotees will witness once again Meliodas, Elizabeth, Hawk, Diane, Ban, King, Gowther, Merlin, as well as Escanor. Apart from these, many fresh faces will also appear in the forthcoming installment.

As for Seven Deadly Sins: Wrath of the Gods’ trailer, it is now available for stream online.

More about Seven Deadly Sins season 5

Weekly Shonen Jump has already confirmed that Seven Deadly Sins season 5, Fury’s Judgement, will be the last season of the series. Considering this fact, it appears that the upcoming installment will feature the last few chapters of the manga.

The penultimate chapter of the manga confirmed the fate of Meliodas, Elizabeth, and the rest of the gang. Hence, it is expected that the fifth season will include scenes from Meliodas and Elizabeth’s marriage.

In addition, Meliodas and the other sins will continue with their adventures in the forthcoming season. However, as of press time, the Netflix release date of the fifth installment remains uncertain.
