A fire broke out on the shooting of Netflix’s Kingdom: Ashin of the North.
On January 7 at 1:42 p.m. KST, a castle on the Gaeun Open Set of Kingdom: Ashin of the North located in North Gyeongsang Province caught on fire. After an hour, the fire was completely extinguished.
A fire on the set
As a staff member of Kingdom attempted to melt the snow using a torch lamp, a fire broke out. “The fire broke out during the process of melting the snow, and no one was injured,” said a source.
The show has resumed its filming after a thorough inspection of the set. The program then promised to do everything they can to ensure the safety on the set.
As reported by Soompi, the finishing materials on the outer walls of the castle caught fire first. It then caused the wood on the inside to burn.
Furthermore, in the process of extinguishing the fire, part of the castle was destroyed. Nine fire trucks were dispatched to the set.
The highly anticipated bonus story
The special episode bonus story Kingdom: Ashin of the North is an extension of Kingdom season two.
