The next Call of Duty game developer is possibly revealed now. Activision will give the task to Sledgehammer Games for the 2021 entry.
According to Comicbook, Sledgehammer Games might develop the next Call of Duty game for publisher Activision. A Recent tweet of the ModernWarzone account gave the information about the next developer.
The tweet mentioned that Sledgehammer Games is the main developing studio of the upcoming CoD entry. You can see it below.
Call of Duty 2021: What to expect?
The next #CallOfDuty title is 100% being developed by @SHGames.

Talking about the franchise, then Sledgehammer is no stranger to Activision’s first-person shooter iconic franchise. In the past, it worked on Call of Duty: WWII, Advanced Warfare, and Modern Warfare 3.
Although Activision hasn’t confirmed the developer’s involvement yet, it might do that soon. But ModernWarzone, the Twitter account, is confident that the next CoD title will go to Sledgehammer Games. Strangely, the latter has also not given any reaction to the rumor.
It may be the case that fans will surprise in the coming months when the publisher officially announces the next game. However, just recently, Activision did confirm that the next installment is coming this year itself and sooner.
Coming back to Sledgehammer has never been a leading developer on any entry yet, since 2017’s WWII. If it’s working on following the following title, it will be interesting to see what kind of story is presented this time.
Fans will surely wait for the new project to come out as soon as possible. Presently, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available for die-hard franchise lovers. It came out at the end of 2020.
Upcoming video games this year
Meanwhile, there are many other games about to arrive in 2021. Just like last year, the coming months are packed with huge surprises.
Some of the big names are already out, including Hitman 3, Little Nightmares 2, and The Medium. But the new year has just begun, and there’s a long way to go.
Upcoming heavyweights include the likes of God of War: Ragnarok, Horizon Forbidden West, and Resident Evil Village. Then there’s Deathloop, Dying Light 2, Stray, The Day Before, Far Cry 6, and Glitchpunk. But that’s not all!
The list gets extended further with Gotham Knights, Halo Infinite, Back 4 Blood, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, and Returnal. Mass Effect Legendary Edition, STALKER 2, GhostWire: Tokyo, Monster Hunter Rise, Destruction AllStars, and Psychonauts 2 are other releases.
Coming back to the next Call of Duty installment, then it will take some time. However, an announcement after summer seems likely. But it will be huge for sure, just like its predecessors so far in the last few years.
