With the announcement of a collaboration with Forte, a company developing a blockchain platform for video games, Tendermint, the software development firm behind Cosmos, and the Interchain Foundation have expanded their reach.
Tendermint’s relationship with Forte, as core contributors to the Cosmos Network, enables blockchain gaming to be accessible to all developers and gamers, who can simply link their gaming ecosystems with the Cosmos interoperable blockchain network.
The alliance with Forte will help propel Cosmos to a broader audience and strengthen the company’s place as a leading blockchain ecosystem, according to Peng Zhong, chief executive officer of Tendermint.
Growing number of gamers
With nearly 3 billion gamers around the world and immense interest in NFTs, the partnership with Forte will help propel Cosmos to a wider audience and solidify its place as a leading blockchain ecosystem.
“We’ve already developed the industry’s finest tools for blockchain development, such as the Cosmos SDK and Starport,” Peng explained.
Forte, as a leading blockchain gaming platform, provides game creators and gamers with the essential blockchain infrastructure, such as cryptocurrency wallets for storing virtual assets and NFTs, in a safe, easy-to-use, and completely compliant packaging.
Forte recently secured $185 million in a Series A funding led by Griffin Gaming Partners, and the platform is being used by over 25 world-class game developers, including pioneers Jeff Tunnell (Starsiege: Tribes, Social City), Will Wright (SimCity, The Sims), and Hi-Rez Studios (Smite, Paladins).
Focused on passionate communities
Forte has developed over 10 million wallets, over 5 million NFTs, and over 8 million monthly active users across its partner games.
Forte and Cosmos both have a vision for applications and economies centered on passionate communities, according to Billy Rennekamp, Grants Manager on the ICF Board of Management.
“Now that the technology has matured, I’m excited to collaborate with Forte, who can bring the next generation of game developers and players to Cosmos gaming,” Rennekamp continued.
Cosmos developers will collaborate with Forte to ensure that all third-party game developers using the Forte platform may easily access Cosmos technology and link their games with the Cosmos network.
