Even by today’s standard, CD Projekt Red’s upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 looks to be a crazy and wild game thanks to its features and odd elements. A recent report reveals yet another crazy addition that might capture the attention of die-hard JRPG fans.
In Cyberpunk 2077, V gets to use an arsenal of weapons and abilities to aid him when it comes to fighting the baddies in Night City. A recently published piece on the game reveals that beyond the current arsenal, players will also be able to conjure up some fantasy monsters to fight alongside them.
Cyberspace sequences are wilder
Aside from exploring Night City, players will also get to explore a fantasy world through the game’s Cyberspace sequences. At these parts of the game, V will “jack into” the Cyberspace to partake in a virtual world within Night City.
According to the published article, the Cyberspace sequences will be full-on fantasy. Players will be able to wield swords and throw fireballs at others who have entered the Cyberspace. Among their skills is the ability to summon fantasy monsters. Although we’ve yet to know what these are, these could mean V can summon dragons, orcs, and other creatures within the Cyberspace in Cyberpunk 2077.
Other details revealed
Another detail revealed in the article is that there will be a thousand different NPCs in the game. Each of them will have their scripts and schedules. It might be CD Projekt Red’s way of making Night City feel more alive. The report also says that the NPCs in the game are a significant improvement to those found in The Witcher 3.
About other improvements, the article says that combat in the game is now more refined. The developers are taking into consideration some of the comments made on the game’s combat system during the game’s E3 demo last year.
If players are worried that the game will be delayed, CD Projekt Red has good news. 700 staff from the developer is working from their home. It means development on the game is pushing through despite the restrictions caused by the pandemic.
Cyberpunk 2077 is scheduled to launch this September for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Before the release, the developer has scheduled a special Night City Wire stream on June 25. It is said to give players a deeper look at the highly anticipated title. We might even see the Cyberspace segments there.
