The Epic Games Store is ramping up their free title selection to encourage more players to join, especially now that gaming is hot. The next selection of Epic Games Store free games brings both fear and joy to gamers.
Currently, the free game on the Epic Store is For The King, and it will be up for download until April 30. Players will have to download the title as early as now for them to be able to keep it in their libraries permanently.
One free game out, two free games in. Once For The King is removed, players will be able to download two new titles for free, and they are Amnesia: The Dark Descent and Crashlands.
Amnesia: The Dark Descent
When it comes to horror, there’s no better game to turn to other than Amnesia: The Dark Descent. This title has been the inspiration of other survival horror games like Outlast wherein players are put in a world filled with horrors, and they have nothing to defend themselves with.
The game puts players in the shoes of Daniel, who wakes up inside a castle with his memory completely wiped out. Aside from completing tough puzzles, players will also have to watch out for horrifying monsters inside the castle. All the while, players will have to keep their sanity and health levels up.
Although it was released in 2010, the game still holds the title of one of the most horrifying games to date. It’s also timely that it will be a part of the Epic Games Store free games list as it has a sequel along the way.
Expected to launch later this year is Amnesia: Rebirth, which is a direct sequel to the 2010 original. Players already have high hopes for this title.
Crashlands is a lot of things, and one is that it is a great game. Featuring a unique 2D art style, the game is played from a top-down perspective, and it puts players in the role of Flux Dabes, who crash lands on an alien planet.
His primary goal is to get his ship working again so that he can leave the planet. Throughout the journey, players will have to craft weapons, build bases, and battle a lot of monsters as well. The game has deep RPG elements that allow players to customize Flux’s weapons and armor.
The game features a similar crafting mechanic to Minecraft, but it does a lot to make sure that it stands out as a unique title.
These are the two Epic Games Store free games coming in May. These titles will be a great way to pass the time, so players should download them as soon as possible.
