Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity is going to be an exciting prequel for The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild. There will be a ton of characters joining the game, including two scientists who will be lending their hand to Link and the rest of Hyrule.
Nintendo has a lot up their sleeve for Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity. While fans already know of what happened to Hyrule 100 years before Breath of the Wild, the developers still manage to catch us off guard. Most of their surprises are with the characters in the game.
The two Shiekah researchers
Earlier this month, Nintendo revealed that Purah and Robbie are joining the game – albeit, their younger selves. In The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, the two researchers aided Link in his Journey. Purah helped Link unlock the secrets of the Shiekah Slate. On the other hand, Robbie gave Link access to some amazing gear made from Guardian fights.
Just recently, Nintendo gave us more details about the two researchers and how they can help the champions in Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity.
Purah and Robbie
As per the tweet, Purah is a researcher who gets too involved in her line of work. As expected, she dives deep into the exploration of ancient relics. We’ll likely see her using the technologies she discovers in the game. She may also be able to use the Shiekah slate much like Link, Zelda, and the other characters.

Robbie is the younger brother of Purah. Like her, he indulges himself in studying ancient relics. He tends to be more hands-on with the technology. In Breath of the Wild, Robbie can be found in the Akkala Tech Lab. If players bring him Guardian parts, he’ll be able to craft weapons, armors, and more. He provides some of the best equipment in the game.

These character’s personalities will most likely jive with their playstyle in the game. The best we can expect is that they are capable of using the technologies they study in the game. Hopefully, there will be more revealed in the coming weeks.
Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity launches exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on Nov. 20. We’ve yet to see the entire cast of characters coming to the game but so far, we have more than 10 heroes and villains joining the game. Fans are hoping to see more faces in the upcoming game.
