Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity launches exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on Nov. 20. While the gameplay looks great so far, it’s the characters that fans are most excited about. We’ve seen some of the good guys coming to the game. It’s high-time Nintendo showcases some of the baddies alongside Calamity Ganon.
In a previous trailer, Nintendo revealed that Master Kohga would be joining the game. Those that have played The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild will be familiar with Master Kohga. This figure is the legendary leader of the Yiga Clan – a group of assassins that Link fights throughout the game.
In Breath of the Wild, Master Kohga is capable of many ninja tricks that can throw the players off guard. Fans are excited to see how his abilities translate into the new game. Hopefully, he’s pretty much the same devious bad guy that players know.
In the new trailer, Nintendo teased a new mysterious figure. This new character is seen helping the Yiga Clan. Apart from the baby Guardian, this mysterious new figure is one of the first new characters joining the Breath of the Wild lore. It’s tough to guess who this figure is.
It’s likely that the new character is an original for Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity. Fans would now like to see just who this character is and how he plays a role in the great calamity.
With the reveal of Master Kohga and the new character, there’s now a total of 12 characters for the game. Those characters are Link, Zelda, Daruk, Orbosa, Mypha, Revali, King Hyrule, Impa, Purah, Robbie, Master Kohga, and the mysterious figure.
Fans are hoping that there will be as many characters as there was in the first Hyrule Warriors. More characters mean that the lore of Breath of the Wild will be expanded as well.
We’ve yet to know who the mysterious figure is in Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity. It’s good that the developers are going beyond Calamity Ganon for the bad guys. This means we could be getting more new characters in the future, and fans are excited about it.
