We can expect lower prices for the iPhone 12 as the company is also adjusting to the world economy suffering from a recession. Apple appears to be focusing on affordable phone models to hit all price categories.
We have seen the effect of this pandemic in every aspect of our lives. One of the most vulnerable sectors that are affected by this is the business industry. This scene brings the economy into a slump. And we cannot deny the fact that even tech giants are also adjusting to the GDP of their consumers.
From this scenario, it seems that Apple is drawing its strategies well on this part, selling iPhone models at more affordable and flexible prices. As we wait for the upcoming launches of the iPhone 12, we have stumbled upon the news that Apple might offer a 4G connectivity iPhone 12 according to Business Insider.
The predictions were made by Wedbush Securities and done by analysts Ives, Backe and Khalil based on their new research note. But as we get a lot of information about the release of the most awaited iPhone 12 models, for the cheaper version, we can expect the launch, not this year but next year.
Cheaper iPhone 12?
Wedbush revised its forecast after conducting a review of the Asian supply chain. Initially, Wedbush earlier predicted that we could expect a mix of 4G and 5G support iPhone 12 models this year.
According to analyst Ives, we can expect this cheaper iPhone 12 around February next year. The price for the more affordable version, according to Ives, will be around $800 for non- 5G iPhone models.
Meaning to say that if this is true, we can have our very own iPhone 12 4G support for 2021. Aside from that report, they also predicted that the prices for iPhone 12 models that are 5G supported would not likely be as pricey as we expect.
Some of the iPhone model prices might have the same price range from the iPhone 11 last year, and the price will likely be around $1,000.00. Ives believes that Apple is focusing on its broader customer base considering the global recession and pandemic that have impacted the lives of its customers.
Apple’s next move
If the launch of the cheaper Apple flagship happens next year, this could be proof that Apple is gearing itself towards affordable phones to increase its smartphone sales. We had noticed this move since then when they launched their $700 iPhone 11 last fall.
And recently this year, when they launched the $400 iPhone SE last April, the company said that the fiscal third-quarter earnings are attributed to positive territory due to the cheaper iPhone SE released.
