New Leak Reveals HUAWEI nova 7 Phones To Feature Curved Screens with Dual Cutouts

The HUAWEI nova 7 series, which will consist of the nova 7 SE, nova 7, and nova 7 Pro, is set to use the Kirin 820, 985, and 990 5G chipsets, respectively.

Ahead of its launch on April 23, the three smartphones from the HUAWEI nova 7 series have emerged from the grapevine once again. This time around, a leaked ad for the handsets has surfaced in the wild, offering a hazy yet decisive look on their design.

Curved Screens and Dual Punch Holes

The latest ad, which features Chinese star Jackson Yee, shows a series of phones which resemble the newly-minted HUAWEI P40 Pro. The similarities could not have been more evident, with the phones’ curved screens, right alongside the handsets’ dual punch hole placed on the upper-left section of the displays.

On the back, a rectangular camera module can also be seen. The camera hardware of the phone isn’t revealed, however, due to the blurry rendition of the ad.

Nevertheless, the ad revealed that the phones could come in blue and gradient-clad white variants.

High-Powered HiSilicon Chips

According to noted tipster Digital Chat Station, the HUAWEI nova 7 series, which includes the vanilla nova 7, nova 7 SE, and nova 7 Pro, will be powered by HUAWEI’s HiSilicon Kirin 985, 820, and 990 5G chips, respectively. Note that the same set of SoCs could also grace the forthcoming HONOR 30 phones.

The HUAWEI nova 7, nova 7 SE, and nova 7 Pro are all expected to arrive with support for 5G connectivity.

The HUAWEI nova 7 SE

Recently spotted on Geekbench, the listing of the HUAWEI nova 7 SE confirms the inclusion of the Kirin 820 chipset. The phone is also revealed to feature a 6.5-inch display with a 1080p+ resolution. The handset is also boasting a massive 64MP camera on its rear, which is likely its setup’s primary sensor. Also seen on the listing is the phone’s support for 22.5 wired fast charging.

The Cheapest HUAWEI nova 7 Variant

In terms of pricing, the regular HUAWEI nova 7 is expected to launch as the most affordable version among the three, with a price around CNY 2,000 to 3,000. The phone is then to be followed by the nova 7 SE, which could debut with a price around CNY 3,000. Meanwhile, the series’ top-tier edition, the nova 7 Pro, could be unveiled with a price tag between CNY 3,500 to 4,000.

The key specifications of the HUAWEI nova 7 and nova 7 Pro are still under wraps at the time of this writing.
