Nintendo Switch will officially welcome “Ni no Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom” in September.
Excitement among Nintendo Switch users is likely apparent, especially if they are into Japanese RPGs. This comes after Bandai Namco recently confirmed the arrival of Ni no Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom on the video game console.
The announcement emerged on YouTube on Thursday. The game’s publisher officially released the details via a teaser trailer, which lasts a little over two minutes.
GamesRadar said that the title will hit Nintendo Switch on September 17. This is not the franchise’s first time to launch on the game console as the prequel arrived on it in 2019.
Ni no Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom on Nintendo Switch
The Nintendo Switch version of the 2018 Japanese RPG will officially carry the title, Ni no Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom – Prince’s Edition. Players will need to shell out $59.99 to own and play the game on the console.
The Switch version will include some DLC Expansions. These are the 2018 “The Lair of the Lost Lore” and 2019 “The Tale of a Timeless Tome.”
The same publication said that players can expect a few new dungeons and cosmetics due to the expansions. New story content will also be available, adding that base game players will enjoy these additions.
About the gameplay
Revenant Kingdom follows the story of Evan Pettywhisker Tildrum, who is a young prince. After the deposition of his advisors, he wanders to the fantasy world of “Ni no Kuni.” He works there to retake the throne and reunite the lands.
The DLC Expansions, on the other hand, adds depth to the base game. Polygon said that they expand the title “in a few meaningful ways.”
The 2018 pack adds new quests and combat additions. It also entails The Labyrinth area, which many players enjoy.
As for the 2019 DLC pack, it brings players to an all-new world. This is because the expansion focuses mainly on the adventure that takes place in Evan’s dreams.
Availability on other gaming consoles
The game in question first emerged for PlayStation 4 and PC in 2018. Bandai Namco published, while Level-5 developed the entirety of the game.
The title serves as a sequel to Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. It dropped exclusively in Japan for PlayStation 3 back in 2011.
Two years later, the game made its way to North America, Europe, and Australia. In 2019, it launched on Nintendo Switch, PC, and PlayStation 4, worldwide. As for Ni no Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom, it is currently available on Windows and PS4.
