Since the game is still a hit across the globe, a lot of players are excited for Pokemon Go Battle League season 2 to come. However, it seems like they will just have to wait a little longer.

Instead of starting last May 1, the Pokemon Go Battle League Season 2 will be moved for at least a week. There has been no official announcement yet on when the event will continue.
However, the company stated that they have started working on whatever those technical problems are. Basing on the tweet, Niantic will delay the event until May 7 or 8.
New schedules and rewards
Initially, the Pokemon Go Battle League Season 2 was scheduled from May 1 to May 25. However, with this delay, it is vague how the format dates will be affected or if Season 3 will be pushed back from its original July 6 start date.
These are the potential start dates for the Pokemon Go Battle League Season 2:
- Great League – Possibly May 8 to 25
- Ultra League – May 25 to June 15
- Master League / Premier Cup – June 15 to 29
- Full Rotation on all format – June 29 to July 6
Confirmation of this schedule will be provided by Niantic as soon as they have addressed the bugs and technical problems of the game.
The Pokemon Go Battle League Season 2 rewards will still be the same. Players will encounter Stunfisk upon reaching rank 4; Rufflet at rank 8 and Scraggy at rank 9. Reaching rank 10 for Season 2 will let players earn a unique avatar pose and an Elite Fast TM for players reaching rank 7 and above.
Niantic will launch the first Premier Cup alongside Pokemon Go Battle League Season 2. Similar to the Master League, there will be no limits on Pokemon CP. However, Mythical and Legendary Pokemon are banned from the Premier Cup.
