The highest-grossing actor of all time is well-known for his portrayal of Nick Fury.
Before the release of the new film, he first appeared as the monocular head of S.H.I.E.L.D, the clandestine government agency.
He graced the Marvel Cinematic Universe through the post-credits scene in the first Iron Man film back in 2008.
Since then, he has appeared in multiple MCU films. Most recently, he reprised his role in Spider-Man: Far from Home, Avengers: Endgame, and Captain Marvel.
Furthermore, he returned as Nick Fury in two episodes of the ABC series “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”
Marvel Studios Cancelling Phase 4
The good news came after the production company unveiled some heartbreaking changes about the MCU Phase 4.
Initially, they would open the new phase of MCU through “Black Widow.” However, the Scarlet Johansson-led flick faced multiple postponements due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Marvel announced the new release dates of the first three MCU films for the new chapter through its official website.
Black Widow will now conquer the big screens in May 2021. It only means that there will be no MCU films this year.
Since the first film has been rescheduled, the whole cinematic universe also moved forward.
Shang-Chi and the Legends of the Ten Rings will now arrive in theaters in July 2021. Meanwhile, Marvel set November 2021 as the Eternals release date.
The end of the coronavirus pandemic is still yet to be determined. Thus, dramatic delays in Marvel movies are still expected to occur.
