Nick Jonas suffered from physical trauma while staying on set, a new report claimed.
Nick Jonas safely returned home after spending some time in a nearby hospital.
The news outlet TMZ confirmed that Jonas was rushed to the hospital during a shoot for a television show. The report, however, failed to mention the severity of the trauma. But it did note that an ambulance fetched Jonas to rush him to the nearby hospital.
Fortunately, his attending physician ordered his discharge on Sunday. This allowed him to continue with his original plans and schedule.
The 28-year-old This is Heaven hitmaker will be out in public again for the shooting of the singing reality show The Voice on Monday.
Nick Jonas has an alarming health condition
His injury may not be life-threatening, but the effects of it could have triggered Jonas’ existing condition.
Over a decade ago, The Jonas Brothers members found out that he has Type 1 diabetes.
Through an Instagram post, the singer shared a collage photo of him alongside a lengthy message explaining his condition.
“13 years ago today I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. The picture on the left is me a few weeks after my diagnosis,” he said. “Barely 100 pounds after having lost so much weight from my blood sugar being so high before going to the doctor where I would find out I was diabetic.”
Jonas added that after years of trying to be healthy, he realized that he should always prioritize his physical health by working out and eating healthy.
His routine also includes checking his blood sugar regularly.
Jonas’ saving grace
Type 1 diabetes prevents the pancreas from creating insulin. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that, compared to type 2, type 1 diabetes is more common.
Jonas’ case destroys his cells in the pancreas that produces insulin. This hormone serves as the key in allowing glucose to enter the bloodstream and create energy.

Despite this alarming health condition, he thanked his now-wife Priyanka Chopra for supporting him all these years. His then-fiancee left a comment on the post and assured him that everything about Jonas is special regardless of his diagnosis.
Jonas and Chopra started dating in 2018 and got engaged in July of the same year. The love birds exchanged I do’s in December 2019.
