National Treasure movie
Four months before the recent news regarding the series, Disney has officially announced a National Treasure movie in the works. Bad Boys for Life screenwriter Chris Bremner has been tapped to write the script.
The movie will follow historian and occasional heist mastermind Benjamin Franklin Gates. He will hunt for treasures hidden in America’s oldest nooks and crannies. Reportedly, the new theatrical film would have the same cast as the first two movies.
This means that Nicolas Cage will continue to star as Benjamin Gates. Cage will portray a cryptologist and treasure hunter seeking to unravel the secrets of major governing figures in American history. Diane Kruger, Justin Bartha, Jon Voight, and Harvey Keitel will also reprise their roles.
What a great week for Nicolas Cage news.
