Nicole Kidman and Jane Kidman reunited after eight months.

Just like the rest of the public, Nicole Kidman and her family have observed self-isolation amid the pandemic crisis. They followed the lockdown measures in the United States for months.

Reports said, however, that they flew to Australia in mid-July, where the actress grew up. Over the weekends, she revealed that she and her mother have finally reunited after eight months, according to Page Six.

Nicole Kidman missed her mother’s 80th birthday

Following the heartfelt reunion, Nicole Kidman took her emotions to Instagram and shared what happened. Based on her post, she revealed that she missed her mother’s 80th birthday because of the COVID-19 crisis.

Even so, she said that it felt “so good” now that she could hug Jane Kidman after eight months. “I’m here now,” she captioned the two photos.

The Big Little Lies star, reportedly, flew back to Australia to work on her new project, Nine Perfect Strangers. The publication added that the family completed their two-week quarantine before the reunion.

Fans rejoiced about the reunion

After Nicole Kidman posted the photos, Pop Culture stated that the post “elicited strong reactions” among netizens. Some, reportedly, commented that they are “happy” to see the two reunited. Others, also, agreed to the actress’ statements about hugging her mom and shared that it is the best

Kidman’s followers on social media also hoped for her to enjoy their stay in the country. “Stay safe,” others said.

The warm reaction on her recent post, reportedly, comes after many netizens slammed her and Keith Urban on the day of their arrival in the country. Reports said that some Australians criticized them for being allegedly able to break quarantine protocols.

Did they break the country’s protocol?

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban arrived in Sydney via private jet from their Tennessee home, according to a separate report from Page Six. Upon arrival, they reportedly “retreated” to their multimillion-dollar estate, Bunya Hill – Sutton Forest.

Many individuals said that the Australian law mandates everyone, returning from overseas, to observe quarantine in a state-approved hotel for two weeks. Instead of doing so, the family immediately “holed up” in their estate, which sparked the criticisms.

Amid the controversies, reports, as well as Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s avid fans, emphasized that the New South Wales government grants “exemptions” for people, who can observe quarantine on their own. Some of the fans, then, called out the critics and asked them to learn first the entirety of the laws before criticizing the celebrities.
