Effects of the pandemic
Nintendo is feeling cautious for the coming second half of 2020. Experts are reporting that game development has been heavily affected due to work from home settings.
Nintendo is expecting lower sales since they are launching a weaker game release slate that does not have any new Pokemon and Animal crossing titles.
Experts warn that prolonged or worsen COVID-19 conditions will delay the release of new game titles. Nintendo may not be able to commit to the release of their products and certain services as planned.
However, the company reported that they are anticipating that their sales and productions will be on track to meet the demands of the current year.
Nintendo has a long list of new games to launch including Xenoblade Chronicles Remastered, Pokemon Sword & Shield expansions, Bravely Default 2, Bayonetta 3 and Legend of.Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2.
