Nintendo Switch games are all the rage now thanks to the success of Animal Crossing: New Horizons last March. The good thing is that Nintendo can keep up with the momentum as there are more great titles coming later this month.
May is a big month for the console. More specifically, May 29 is a big day for Nintendo Switch games as it sees the release of fantastic game collections that players should definitely consider getting. As it is a jam-packed release day, players should begin budgeting as early as now.
Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition
Xenoblade Chronicles initially launched for the Wii during the last years of the console. It was then re-released for the New Nintendo 3DS. Now, fans are going to get it on the Switch, and it comes with more than just graphical upgrades.
The new version is remade to have graphics that rival other games currently on the Switch. Perhaps the best addition to this new version of the JRPG classic is an additional story content that connects this game to Xenoblade Chronicles 2. The game is very lengthy and features a massive open-world for players to explore. It’s a must for JRPG fans.
Bioshock Collection
For those with a longing for a story-heavy shooter, then the Bioshock Collection is one of the best Nintendo Switch games launching later this month. This action-packed collection comes with a few games that tell the entire story of the Bioshock series.
These games include the original Bioshock, Bioshock 2, and Bioshock Infinite. Everything, including the DLCs for the titles, will be included in the package.
Borderlands Legendary Collection
This is the first time that the franchise will hit the Nintendo console, and it’s coming with a bang. The Borderlands Legendary Collection is a package that can give players hours upon hours of mayhem and loot grinding.
The package comes with Borderlands Game of the Year Edition, Borderlands 2, and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. It’s worth noting, however, that Commander Lilith and The Fight for Sanctuary DLC will not be a part of the collection.
XCOM 2 Collection
For those who loved Mario+Rabbids Kingdom Battle on the Switch, then the XCOM 2 Collection is certainly up their alley. The game features a similar gameplay loop but in a grittier and more serious facade.
Aside from the strategic battles, players will also have to worry about other things such as upgrades, and keeping their favorite agents alive.
These are some of the best Nintendo Switch games launching this month. Players should keep in mind that there are other exciting titles launching as well, so they should keep an eye out for these games.
