The New Pokémon Snap is coming for the Nintendo Switch. The classic N64 Pokémon photography game will come back after a full 21-year hiatus.
New Pokémon Snap is under development with Bandai Namco, listed as “coming soon” for the Switch. The endslate for the recent Pokémon Presents details all these.
Newest Pokémon Snap shows off beautiful graphics and scenic locales
The newest Snap’s official reveal trailer offers a little insight into what players can expect. The video reveals some footage that shows Pokémon in their natural habitat. Like the original, trainers have the task of taking photographs of these beautiful creatures.
The game will have Pokémon from multiple generations, and the game is already showing promise. The graphics are crisp, with every island offering different biomes for a variety of Pokémon. Players can also visit the islands in the morning and at night.
Every island also has its waters teeming with marine life and bird Pokémon. Players will also see Pokémon playing around and enjoying their life in the wild. There are Torterras playing with Pichus and even Bouffalants running around with Dodrios.
The entire scenery is a joy to see, with a relaxing atmosphere expected from the franchise. New technology is doing Pokémon favors, as the fauna is breathtaking to see. Every photo snapped tugs on the heartstrings with the superbly cute design.
No release date yet for latest Pokémon Snap
The New Pokémon Snap describes the new game in their official eShop listing. In it, the game encourages players to “Photograph Pokémon in their natural habitats as you adventure through unknown islands!”
“Travel to unknown islands with beautiful scenery like lush jungles and sandy beaches,” the description says. “The Pokémon pictures you take there will be used to build your very own Pokémon Photodex!”
“Photograph lively wild Pokémon in their natural habitats as you research and explore unknown islands. Journey through a variety of environments such as beaches and jungles to capture previously-unseen Pokémon behaviors. The photos you take can also be used to fill out your very own Pokémon Photodex!”
The entire game so far confirmed jungles and deserts for its potential biomes. From the trailer, plains, beaches, and seas are also among the options. Nintendo has yet to clarify how many generations are in the game, but it seems at least three or four exist.
Also, there is also no information if New Pokémon Snap will have more than one player.
